Comes to Arles - at inlieu’s screening room

If you are alarmist you are stretching your neck over the edge of the cliff: you look strained and stupid! If you’re passive and calmist then the siren doesn't sound at all, and then whose fault is it?

I have a new stopwatch I love to play with, God, it's fun! I prefer so much counting up to counting down, but I’m finding out I’m really, really slow - thirty minutes to do this, an hour and a half to do that: it’s starting to add up. The last Jews were run out of Arles in September 1494; 300 years after Samuel ibn Tibbon completed his translation of Maimonides’ “Guide of the Perplexed” in the city. In Baal HaSulam’s intro to Zohar (1943-47) he wonders: if the soul of a person is part of God themselves, only different insofar as the soul is part and God is whole, as a stone is to a mountain, and “there is no difference between stone and mountain, except that the mountain is ‘all’ and the stone is ‘part,’” then by what tool is the stone quarried from the mountain, “what is the tool that separates the soul from God[?]”
